Birthday celebration

Yesterday, I completely forgot to put the pictures on of Lue's birthday. Sometimes my brain really works. But not completely yesterday.

The pictures are self-explanatory and better late than never.

We had such a good time.

Nancy is home now. She came home yesterday afternoon with Evie. I talked with Dan last night and everything was okay. She was resting, so I didn't bother her. The first couple of days/weeks are so hectic. Dan's folks are coming in tomorrow and staying til Tuesday. I'll be coming in that Thursday and staying til Monday, so at least she'll have some help for a while. Dan, of course, is very good. They make a good team. Extra hands help though.

Jil posted some more pictures of their anniversary trip. It certainly is a beautiful spot!

Gracie did graduate last night - Did we ever doubt it? LOL. She even had her graduation certificate. pictures and treats in a little treat bag. Her final exam had the trainer put orange cones around the perimeter of the store with certain directives for her to follow at each one. Did she pass with flying colors? Gracie was her usual undirected hyper self. We know she could do most of the things - without the distractions. At times. In her goody bag was also information for the intermediate class. No thank you.

At least with the classes we had the opportunity to practice during each week, so she could learn. I should say Paul practiced with her mostly. He deserves the credit which I willingly give.

There is hammering, hammering, hammering up on the roof this morning. The workers came this morning around 9:00. We're having a sun-tunnel tube light put in the roof/ceiling of the new upstairs bathroom. It doesn't have any natural light since there aren't any windows - so this will make it much lighter. We love ours in our kitchen in Florida. It does make a lot of difference even at night if there's a moon out. This one is in a great location since this part of the roof faces south, there'll always be sunlight. If it's sunny - of course! But even without, there'll be light.

So - not much else to report today. You've heard from me - How about hearing from you - What's happenin' in your neck o' the woods?

one...two...three - ready. GO. . .

Yes. My little granddaughter was born on Sunday afternoon. Talk about being very congenial - She really decided to be as little trouble as possible. Her grandparents, Neal and Judy, had just left, unfortunately - they didn't get to meet her. She waited til Vincent had someone to watch over him. It was the weekend - during the day. Nancy called mid-morning and left a message on my answering machine, that she was in labor. We were out food shopping for Lue's birthday dinner that afternoon. So I immediately called her back when we got in. She was still at home and said she'd call when they left for the hospital. She thought it would be a while.

The afternoon went by and Sharon and her family and Lue came for dinner. We were in the kitchen having drinks, when Nancy called around 4:30. So I said - you're on your way? Nope - she'd already had the baby! She'd just gotten to the hospital in time! So. . . she had no time to call beforehand. She then told me my granddaughter's name - Yvonne Lois. She'll be known as Evie. 7 lbs. 10 oz. Her middle name is for Dan's maternal grandmother, Lois, who passed away last year. She has brown hair like her mom. And grandmother (had.) They're coming home this morning. It seems like such a short time. But it's the usual. Nowadays.

It seemed like we waited forever and ever for a picture, but of course - it wasn't long at all. Dan kindly put some on e-mail for us to see last night. There's one of Nancy and Evie - with a beaming Nancy. I fell in love with that one. Must get a copy.

So - Lue will be sharing her birthday day with little Evie from now on. Perhaps and probably not together. . . but in spirit! A day or two ago, Lue decided she wanted to bake a cake to bring here, but we insisted that she not bake for her birthday. That's something that is just not allowed! Sharon said she'd bake a cake. Okay, Lue said begrudgingly because she had her mind set on a specific kind of apple cake. She e-mailed the recipe to Sharon, and Sharon made it. Bless her. I can see why Lue loved it - it was delicious. I must get the recipe.

Tonight is Gracie's graduation from Obedience class at Petsmart. It's quite appropriate that its raining cats and dogs right now. I hope it lets up by tonight. I blinked my eyes and it stopped.

Evie missed being born on Jil and Epril's anniversary by a day. Jil and Epril took a vacation for their second anniversary at a beautiful Filipino resort on the sea. He took some videos and still pictures and put them on his blog. Wow. What a fantastically gorgeous site. Congratulations to you both!

Okay. That's all the news for now. What's happenin' in your neck o' the woods?

Rattles Our cage. . .

Friday, it is. I'll say the usual -Where has the week gone?

Paul is upstairs, hammering. He's working on the linen closet. I just went up there and took pictures. I had taken pictures yesterday or the day before, but I erased them because the library (our new name for the upstairs middle room) looks so much better since it's been painted a warm light beige than the white walls. Of course, I had to add pictures of Gracie. I hope taking her graduation picture doesn't jinx her graduating next week. heheheh. The one of her under the pillow sham was too cute to resist. I asked Paul what he was going to do when he finished the room upstairs, which is almost done. (He does like to keep busy. ) He thought a minute and then said. . . there's a lot to do outside. True.
Just got a call from Sharon. Would we mind taking care of Ida tonight. . .either at their house or ours overnight. Of course, we said - overnight. We love having her and the boys here anytime. My cleaning lady was here yesterday and had just changed the sheets in the guest room so. . . voila! Couldn't have been better timing.
I've joined a Bible Study on Thursday mornings at church. This is my chance to meet a lot more people. I was surprised that there were 18 people there at 9:30. A good group. We'll be studying different religions and I along with several others ordered the study guide/book. They had done this a couple of years ago in Sunday School, but it hadn't ever been in a study group. So it looks like several people hadn't been to the Sunday School sessions. I'm looking forward to it, although I won't be able to complete the series as we're planning on going to Florida early. Not sure of the date yet, and won't mention any more information on this blog anyway because of security.
The new minister is leading the group. She seems very capable and nice. There're three bible study groups - this one, one on Monday morning, and one on Tuesday evening. I was at the evening one last semester, but I hope this one will be easier to attend. The evening session was just too hectic - getting supper ready, getting there in time. I prefer my evenings to be more calm. And sarcastically I say - I think I can manage 9:30 in the mornings.
Nancy is swimming every day at Northwestern's pool after she drops Vincent off at pre-K. She mentioned on Facebook . . . when you're swimming, and get water in your ear, and you're 9 months pregnant, it's never a good idea to hop on one foot. The picture in my mind made me smile.
Lue and Greta stopped by last night on their way to a new dog obedience group in Corning. Lue dropped off some beets. . .bless her. They were even cooked! And they were delicious. Anyway - the three of us (Gracie included) had to come outside to see Greta, whom we hadn't seen in a while. Lue had all the seats down on her van like we do and Greta was caged in the back. How big she's gotten! But - she's listening better. Good thing. Gracie is a squirmer, but she only weighs 4-5 pounds. Greta is another story. Until Lue spoke to her, she really rattled her cage. . .figuratively and really. Gracie rattles our cage, too. Good pun.
Not much other news to report. So - what's happen' in your neck o' the woods?

Good report from the doctor. . .

We are certainly having a beautiful September. It's hard to believe that Fall has arrived. I'm still in shorts.

Monday we went to Strong Hospital in Rochester to meet with my surgeon. We dropped Gracie off with Sharon at her office around 11:00. My appointment was at 1:15. The trip there was uneventful, but the parking garage was horrendous. I guess everyone at the hospital was out having lunch and coming back. A long line of cars. Stop and Go. When my blood pressure was read by the nurse - it was high. She said it was probably a reaction to the parking garage! (Usually my blood pressure is normal, but I understand that it also spiked during my operation. We've been keeping an eye on it here at home and it's been normal.)

The surgeon looked at the incision, removing the "bandage" which reminded me of rubber cement. It had been coming off on its own. I'm very pleased. He's very pleased. The scar is barely visible. It's in one of the folds of my "beautiful swan-like neck". For a year, I am to be careful in the sun as it will darken the scar because the skin is so "new". Florida - here we come - but I'll be aware of the sun.

I do feel ever so much better. I can breathe easier, and am sleeping better. I went to Curves yesterday for the first time in a month. It felt good to get the exercise.

Jil had a request of me. He wanted to order some items from Amazon and have them sent to him, but he didn't trust the Filipino mail system because, if they saw the Amazon box, someone might take it. He's asking me to order them and send them in a plain wrapper. So - I'm in the process. One item has come, two more are on their way. When I have them all, then they'll be re-wrapped and sent. Paypal is a great way to do business with someone lives in a different country.

An aside: I also can't get over how easy it is to call overseas now. When I went to Europe in 1963, you had to go through so many hoops in order for it to work. Same when Jil was an exchange student in Brazil in the 80's. Now you just dial the number and you get the person. Bingo. The world is just getting smaller and smaller.

Got my airline tickets to go to Chicago to help out when Dan goes away. It'll be so good to see my little granddaughter, my BIG four-and-a-half year old grandson, and daughter and son-in-law.

Gracie went to obedience class at Petsmart last night. This was the next-to-last class and she had her picture taken for graduation next week with her graduation hat on (?). We had to hold it on her because the smallest one was too big. We're not sure how much she's gotten out of these classes. She's always so hyper when seeing all the other dogs in class and around the store plus the people. Then she has trouble concentrating. I guess because she was "introduced" to several things and can kinda do most of them, the whole experience wasn't negative. Next week as a final test/exam, the trainer is going to put signs up near cones around the store. She has to do what the sign says. For ex: Leave it, loose leash walking, Stay, Release, Wait, Come, Puppy Push Ups, (sit, down, sit).

We left after her picture because she really wasn't listening and all it was was review. Sure reminded me of some of my students in school! Concentration is the key. She just gets so excited to see everyone. As we passed the check-out counter and were getting ready to leave, there sat a BIG two-year old bernase moutain dog! She was so calm, so in control as she sat there in line. Gracie was practically doing handstands trying to get to her. Her mistress said she'd gone through the training also. . . two years ago. All we could think of was: There's Greta at age 2!

So - I guess that's all the news from The Woods Edge. How're things goin' in your neck o' the woods?

"The Wonderful Surgeon of Strong"

What a gorgeous late summer day. When I was teaching, I was kinda aware of how nice September was, but to be able to see it "in person" is quite a nice reward for teaching all those years in September. I think now September may be my favorite month.

We went to church yesterday for the first time in over a month. (We've been kinda busy!) I'm becoming quite fond of this new church we've been going to. Lots of hugs, etc. Good choir. Excellent organist/choir director. Too bad I've lost my singing voice, as I'd like to join. Not sure I want to do that as a tenor, however. There's a Bible Study beginning on Thursday mornings at 9:30. The timing is just right. We can still get to lunch with Lue at 12:00. I think I will go. Our new minister will be our leader, and it would be an opportunity to get to know her better, and vice versa.

Talked with Nancy last night. She's at the end stages of pregnancy and quite uncomfortable. I expect we'll hear from Dan some time soon that labor has begun. Anyway - I certainly hope so. Enough is enough. I have my plane reservations to fly out in October to help while Dan is giving a talk at a conference in Minnesota. He's flying out, staying overnight, and coming back the next day.

I'm off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz. Nope -
I'm off to see the surgeon, the wonderful surgeon of Strong, today. It's my post-op appointment. We'll travel up to Rochester - a two hour trip, probably see him for 15 minutes, come home. It really makes you rethink that perhaps a hospital closer would have been as good. Although I think he was especially good. Gracie is staying with Sharon at her workplace. It helps that her husband is "the boss." She has an office upstairs with a couch that Gracie sleeps on, but she also follows Sharon all over too. We've put a nice potroast in the slowcooker, so when we come home later, the house will have all kindsa great smells!

We went to see Lee play football on Saturday. It was one of those gorgeous September days just made for football games. Now, I must say - I'm not too familiar with football terms, so I hesitate to describe a game. But here goes - Lee is quarterback for the JV squad and he played quite well. He had several long throws. However, the receivers (?) weren't quite there. The score was pretty bad in the other team's favor. Unfortunately, Lee hurt his hip in the final minutes of play. It was X-rayed and he'll be out of commission for a couple of days while his pulled muscle is allowed to heal.

Okay. That's all the news for now. How're things goin' in your neck o' the woods?

Facebook and Ancestors

I'm just not familiar enough to the Facebook idea - even though I joined up a couple of months ago. I found a three-week old second response from my "namesake." She's the one whose intriguing picture was of her on a motorcycle. But . . .She's since changed the picture and looks like a kindly mature lady like me. At least that's the way I picture myself.
For those of you who may not be aware:
I typed in my first name (with the unusual spelling that my parents gave me) and my maiden name on Facebook a while ago - just to see what happened. Well - I got six, yes six, people with the same name and spelling! I was really floored. The top one had the picture of this lady on the motorcycle with a helmet on - and from the looks of it, about the same age as I - and I decided to introduce myself.

We've been trying to find a common ancestor or home in Germany, but so far nothings come up. Her family came from a town near Berlin, Germany in 1870, that began with a T. (I don't have it handy.) Ours came earlier according to the soda bottle I have in the attic with my maiden name on it. Don't laugh. Well, it has a date on it. Like "any port in a storm" . . . "any record in a storm". If any of my relatives read this and know where our paternal great great grandparents came from and they could let me know, I'd appreciate this because I'd like to keep up the correspondence with this intriguiing person. She also said she knew of relatives in Brooklyn who had a scissors business and she has inherited a pair of scissors with "our" last name on it. The business folded in 1930. Sounds like a depression-era story, doesn't it?

We have another dull grey day here at the Woods Edge. Paul has left for his daily trip to Lowe's. I take that back. He didn't go yesterday. You should see the work he's done in the "library" which is what we've decided to call the middle room. I'll try to remember to take pictures so you can see. The other night when we went to Lowe's, we windowshopped for carpetting. We were going to put down wood flooring, but decided that it would be better, sound-wise, to have carpetting overhead.

In Jil's most recent posting, he said he's trying to teach Epril how to ride his motorcycle. He's the only one in the family over there who knows how to ride it. It's good she's learning. You never know when it could be needed. He said she was nervous. That's good. There's nothing wrong with being careful.

Got some really exciting news from Carol O. - It seems she is renting in Circlewoods next year for three months! Isn't that great? She's so excited. For years - it's what she always wanted to do and now she's able to! Congratulations dear friend. It'll be so nice to have you down there near us!

I'm off. To see the world? nope - but to Bath. Lunch with friends, Carol, Ruth and her mother, Emily, and to get a haircut. I had to cancel my appointment a couple of weeks ago, and now I look pretty bad. Unfortunately, our lunch will be before my hair appointment. Oh well.

And. . .what's happenin' in your neck o' the woods? Really. I'd love to hear!

We're back. . .

Hi there, everyone - yesterday, we arrived back after a weekend in Chicago with Nancy, Dan, Vincent and the little-one soon to arrive. Yes. Nancy is definitely 9+ months pregnant. We're looking forward to meeting the little one in a couple of weeks.

We drove this time, spending two days on the road, because we wanted Vincent to meet Gracie. Vincent is four and a half - old enough to be gentle with Gracie, and he was. . .for the most part. He's becoming a good little boy. The building picture is Vincent's school, and we're sitting on the bench outside, on Friday when Nancy and we picked him up. We were concerned about their Siberian husky, Ivan, and how he'd feel about another dog being in their home. Well - he was fine. So was Gracie - she gave him the "respect" he needed. She wagged her tail, washed his face, ears, neck. He wagged his tail and never growled once. His eyes are not devilishly red, as shown in the picture! They're a lovely brown. Gracie loved his food, but all he had to do was to stand up, go over to it, and look at her and she'd respectfully move away. We think, however, that most of the food she had over the weekend, was his.

Saturday morning, we used umbrellas to walk in a sprinkling rain to the community center around the corner from their home. This was to be Vincent's first soccer practice but it ended up just being informational about scheduling, rules. All the families and their children met in the gym. We didn't want to leave Gracie at home so she sat on Paul's lap on the bleachers and didn't move. It was (without exaggeration) - bedlam. Two hundred 3-4 year old children running around after soccer balls. Crying, yelling. Add onto this, toddler brothers and sisters, older kids. Outside, it wouldn't have been as loud as in the echoey gym. Finally, when everybody was signed in, they put the soccer players on one side of the gym and a phys ed person did Simon Says "kinda things" with them. The parents were on the other side and got information about the program. That was it. We were there for about an hour. Dan told us that the games were scheduled as 10 minute halfs (sp?) five minute half-time. If things weren't "going well" , they didn't play after the half-time.

It cleared up in the afternoon, after Vincent's nap, Nancy and I took him for his second group piano lesson. He loved that! Having been a piano teacher, I was very interested in what they'd do with five little kids. Well. . .Look at the inside of the piano. Color and cut out page of piano. 10 minute "private" lesson. Lots of interchangeable activities. Nancy and I weren't allowed in, so we went to Starbucks for some coffee. He has his own little piano book. Everything, I'd teach beginning second graders, was taught. . . but these lessons were more drawn out. Finger numbers. Black notes. Other group activities. Two teachers - one for private lesson, the other did the group things.
Sunday we went to a gorgeous city park which included a children's park, Dog park, and a beach volleyball court. Did you notice the picture of Gracie beneath my legs? That was her first time at a Dog Park. There were only two other small dogs there, so we took her inside. She was a little overwhelmed. The whole area was beautifully shaded with huge old trees, and within a short walking distance of each other. It was an outstandingly sunny day - one of those days in September when the weather is perfect. The picture of Vincent is in the beach volleyball court which the little ones use as a sandbox when it's not being used for its original intent. It was situated right next to the swings and things.
Had a chat with Jil this morning. He's home alone til tomorrow, because Epril and her family went to another island for a funeral. Travel is pretty difficult when going from one Filipino island to another. It takes hours to travel. Jil and I had a nice long chat. Thank goodness for telephones, e-mails, blogs.
I'm feeling fine now. Everything seems to be much better. It just takes time to recuperate.
Okay - that's all the news for now.
So. . .how're things goin' in your neck o' the woods?

A Dark Morning. . .Don't you hate those?

Makes me wish to be in Florida. It's still hot down there, though. We'll wait a while.

Wednesday is upon us - Paul is upstairs, he's finished mudding and the middle room looks really nice. Brenda called, which she often does on her way to work. It's nice because they're three hours behind us (of course) in California, so she had a chance to talk with her dad while her day is beginning . We'll miss them for Christmas here at the Woods Edge. But - we miss them all the time. It's good to look forward to seeing them in Florida. Little Bode will be there, so he and Gracie can renew their friendship also.

I believe I'm feeling much better the past couple of days. The calcium pills seem to be working. I did sleep late this morning. I dislike doing that, as it shortens the day up so, but I guess I needed it. BUT - There's so much less time to the morning.

Gracie had her fifth dog obedience class last night at Petsmart. The Great Dane wasn't there - she's only been there once, so it was much quieter in the "ring." The G D has such a deep bark. Only the chocolate lab was there and I could see an improvement in her obedience. This is her second time through the program. The first time they stopped it, for some reason or other, after two lessons.

Gracie is so funny - she scrambles underneath the shelving looking for food that store clerks drop. I would think that would be rather dangerous, but she's "still here. " She's learning how to deal with people and dogs. It's good for her. Her attention span is rather low, but believe it or not, I can see an improvement. We used a long leash, out in the aisles, to help practice paying attention when doing her assignments. There's usually a dog or two out there, and children also.

One thing we practiced in the ring, was "leave it," when there's something we don't want her to put in her mouth. Good for when she goes exploring underneath the store shelves. Very valuable for a dog her size. So many things can make her ill - very ill -( ex. grapes and raisins) but larger dogs would have a tummy ache but would survive. She might not. She loves everyone and so many people come up to her and want to pet her.

So - as you can see, not much is going on here - as far as me. I'm kinda still taking it easy, but feeling a lot better. Paul is doing a lot upstairs.

It's nearly noontime. I do have a couple loads of wash in progress that need to be taken care of, so I'm going to close.

That's all the news from here. What's happenin' in your neck o' the woods?

How about that. . .And. . .somethin' stupid.

The "Powers that Be" decided Paul and I weren't really on the internet, that it wasn't working, would not work, and that was it. . .while I was posting this post. It said it would probably disappear, could not be saved. So - I said, oh well. That's life. I liked what I'd posted so far, but that's life. Glory be - it was saved, and I could continue typing. . .So here's my post that I thought I'd lost:

Paul was looking something up on his computer and I asked him to look for a reason his wife is so stupid. Okay. Explanation.

A while ago. . .I cleaned out the freezer, and put all the alike meats in large grocery bags. (example: chicken breasts, pork chops, hamburger meats). That way I could easily find them and know how much I had left. I thought I was marvelously intelligent and quite bright to be able to think of such a way to make my life easier. So. . .I planned on having pork chops tonight. I went to the freezer, pulled out the last package of chops - and left them on the counter to start on their way to be defrosted. Since it was the last package, I was to throw away the bag. (I didn't throw away the pork chops. I wasn't that stupid.) I took the bag. Put it on the counter. And put the pork chops back in the freezer. When Paul asked what we were having for supper, and he requested something else, which was fine with me, he couldn't find the pork chops to return to the freezer.

So my question is: Does losing a thyroid mean a brain drain? Probably. And, like my calcium deficiency, should it return to better levels soon?

We didn't go to church today, but did go out to breakfast. We took Gracie with us and left her in the car, windows open slightly. (It was cool today.) We sat at a booth near her - perhaps 20 feet away. She was fine. We watched her. The place was crowded - a busy time - Labor Day weekend. Lots of cars and motorcycles.

Paul and I took her to Lowe's yesterday and sat her on a towel on the seat of a shopping cart. You'd think she'd wag her tail off. All she needed was a person walking towards her, two aisles away and her rear end would start to wiggle and she couldn't stop herself. She loves children especially. She loves to see them. Ex. Four of the neighborhood children came running up to her just a little while ago outside, and she almost turned inside out. (Anyway - back to Lowe's) Two young male employees walked past her, and as she wiggled almost out of her skin . . . one of the guys said "another happy customer."

Am enjoying Jil's blog entries. It makes it seem like he's not that far away. He includes videos, still pictures and such. I enjoy reading the comments his friends make about his postings. He's been doing it for a long time. This is one of the benefits of having a computer. (Even before he got to Jasaan in the Philippines and in Pattaya, Thailand.) Blogs certainly don't make it seem like he's so far away. And vice versa. Epril sent me a nice note - wishing me well. Thanks, Epril.

Nancy is in her ninth month now. My little granddaughter will be born soon! Wow. We won't know her name until she's born. Which is fine. Vincent started pre-school last week. She took him to school the first day and said he looked so cute with his little backpack which had his little toddler pillow for naptime.

Guess that's all the news. So - what's happenin' in your neck o' the woods?

Here I am again!

Hello everyone.
Yes. It seems like a long time since I was here talking with you. And it has been. I'm feeling better and looking forward to all the good days I know are ahead.

This is the first time I've been a patient - other than childbirth - so many many years ago. I almost feel guilty when I think of those of you who have suffered so much more greatly. So, I'm trying to be a good patient with a lot of patience. Recuperation is not difficult. When you think of the alternative.

There isn't much news to report since I haven't been doing much, but wanted you to know I'm still here, minus my thyroid. Unfortunately, it was quite large, but (another unfortunately) even though it was quite large - I didn't lose any weight when I lost it.

I have a tongue infection. (thrush). We went to our family doctor this morning at 8:30 and got a prescription for it. Paul and I then went to my favorite drugstore - Walmart - where - we waited for over an hour to have the prescription filled. So we got some food shopping done. Good thing, because if we hadn't we'd have wasted a whole hour. We got back and sat and sat. Then the "helper' came out and told us they didn't have the medication, and wouldn't have it til Tuesday. Now, I have to give them some credit - I had called in a prescription refill yesterday which I was to pick up on Saturday. They had that all ready. BUT to wait for over an hour for the tongue med?

After we got our food shopping done, and on our way to the pharmacy, I suggested to Paul we go to the McDonald's inside the store and get a cup of coffee. Have you ever had McDonald's coffee and realized how HOT they make it? I couldn't drink it because of my tongue. Since they couldn't fill my prescription, they said they'd call another pharmacy for us. Good for them! Only had to wait another ten minutes to get that taken care of. By then my coffee had cooled off a bit. . . and I could sip it.

Gracie was home alone all this time - 8:15-11:00. We didn't expect her to be perfect, and she wasn't. We got home, had lunch, then I went to the new pharmacy, got my prescription - used it once, and believe it or not, it is helping!

I am on up to 2,000 mg of calcium every two hours. Yes. That's right. 2,000 mg. every two hours. This is until my parathyroid takes over the job of my thyroid. I know I need a dose when I become sweaty and jittery. This is all interesting to me. Because it's my own self I'm talking about. I hope I'm not boring the rest of you.

We were to go to visit my daughter Nancy this weekend, but I really didn't feel up to it, and I just wanted to be in my own home and bed. So we were able to postpone it til next weekend. As the saying goes - every day, in every way, we get better and better!

One thing I MUSt comment on - How much I appreciate Paul. I told Paul - "thank you for being you." And I meant it. He's been unbelievably helpful. But then, not unbelievably, but believably. What a guy.

So - here's lookin at you kid. What's happenin' to the rest of you in your neck o' the woods?
